AKULUNO UNITED BROTHERS SET TO SHUTDOWN LAGOS FOR SECOND YEAR ANNIVERSARY, UNVEILS NEW BOOK ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF IGBOLAND

Lagos State — Nigeria 🇳🇬
Lagos is set to witness a momentous gathering of business moguls, serial entrepreneurs, industry experts in the maritime, road construction giants, key players in the Nigeria’s real estate sector, policy- makers and community leaders as a pan- Igbo socio- cultural group— Akuluno United Brothers Association prepares to mark its second anniversary in a grand style with the launch of a new book titled; ” Akuluno: A Catalyst For The Development Of Igboland.”
The event scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:30 P.M — at The Monarch Event Center, Lekki Phase 2, Lagos State, and is strictly by invitation— usually starts with an Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The occasion will be chaired by the Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo; while Chief Patrick Okonkwo will serve as the Chief Launcher. The Association’s pioneer National President, High Chief Duru Mike Ejiogu (Onowu Anara) is expected to lead the brotherhood at the epoch-making event with High Chief Francis Akealu, Chairman of the Planning Committee, coordinating the arrangements for the event.
Akuluno United Brothers Association is a highly organised and elitist Billionaires’ Social Club that promotes the Igbo spirit of ‘ Nwanne, Malu Nwanne ya’— brings together men from different business, professional and entrepreneurial backgrounds under the bond of brotherhood and a shared interest in the progress and development of their homelands. The group places emphasis on unity, business networking, mutual support, philanthropy, cultural identity and community development.
Akuluno United Brothers was founded around the idea that successful people can achieve more when they come together, share experiences and deploy their networks, knowledge and resources towards creating opportunities for their individual communities in the South East. It has consequently sought to combine social relationships with business connections and initiatives that carry wider community value.

The Association has also created a network that extends beyond individual businesses and personal relationships, providing members with an avenue to interact, support one another and discuss issues affecting their communities and the wider Igbo society.
Its activities have given particular attention to the development of Igboland, with conversations around revival of Igbo apprenticeship, entrepreneurship, investment, education, healthcare, skills development and other areas considered critical to the future of the region.
That developmental interest will take another form at the Lagos anniversary with the launch of Akuluno: A Catalyst For The Development Of Igboland. The title of the book reflects one of the issues at the heart of the Association— how collective effort, enterprise, leadership and resources can be harnessed towards the advancement of Igboland. Its launch is expected to provide an opportunity for members and invited guests to engage with ideas about development while celebrating the Association’s two-year journey, so far.
The anniversary will also feature the Annual General Meeting, where members are expected to take stock of the Association’s activities, consider its progress and deliberate on matters concerning its future.
The gathering is expected to bring together personalities from the business and professional communities, entertainers, as well as friends and associates of the organisation, for an evening of fun; combining celebration, networking, reflection and discussion.
For Akuluno United Brothers, the second anniversary represents more than a celebration of two years. It is another opportunity to strengthen the relationships on which the Association was founded, reflect on its journey and renew its commitment to collective progress.
The Lagos event will therefore combine three significant activities under one roof: the annual general meeting, second year anniversary celebration, and the launch of Akuluno: A Catalyst for the Development of Igboland.
With Lagos as the host city, expectations are already building around the Saturday, September 26, 2026 gathering, as Akuluno United Brothers prepares to mark two years of brotherhood, enterprise, networking and collective engagements.
Our media lens shall capture the beautiful moment; the scene; glitz , glamour, and lifestyle of the Igbo billionaires and philanthropists who have built business empires and have dotted our social space with their heartwarming outings at the various high profile events.
