Chukwukadibia Okoye is a highly accomplished finance and investment professional with over seventeen (17) years of experience across assurance, consulting, and banking. He brings a strong blend of private-sector excellence and public policy orientation, with a proven ability to drive fiscal discipline, economic strategy, and institutional transformation.
He is widely regarded as a treasury and credit expert, with deep competencies in financial planning and analysis, public financial management, risk management, performance monitoring, and financial and regulatory reporting. His career has been defined by a consistent focus on transparency, efficiency, and value creation—principles that are critical to effective governance and sustainable development.
Chukwukadibia began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Business Assurance and Advisory Services, where he built a solid foundation in audit, governance, and financial controls. He subsequently joined United Bank for Africa (UBA), where he served as Team Lead and Head of Financial and Technical Analysis, playing a pivotal role in strengthening IFRS compliance and enhancing financial reporting systems.
In 2015, he joined Coronation Merchant Bank Group as Chief Financial Officer, where he provided strategic leadership on corporate finance, budgeting, and performance management. He also led key mergers and acquisitions, delivering value through disciplined financial strategy and execution.
In October 2023, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Rest of Africa at UBA Plc, with oversight of finance operations across nineteen (19) countries. In 2024, he assumed the role of Group Financial Controller, where he leads group-wide balance sheet management, revenue assurance, and financial and regulatory reporting. His experience managing complex, multi-country financial systems uniquely positions him to drive fiscal reforms, improve internally generated revenue, and strengthen budget credibility in the public sector.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom.
Chukwukadibia is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK, and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.
He has attended executive education programmes at leading global institutions including Harvard Business School, London Business School, and Lagos Business School, focusing on leadership, economic strategy, finance, and risk management.
Chukwukadibia brings a reform-oriented mindset to public service. His priorities include improving budget discipline, budget implementation rigour, prompt budget monitoring, harnessing private sector participation to accelerate economic development, and leveraging data-driven planning to accelerate inclusive growth and development across Anambra State.
He is committed to deploying his expertise to support the State Government in delivering efficient, transparent, and impactful economic policies that improve livelihoods and create long-term prosperity for Ndi Anambra.
