In the rapidly evolving world of African information technology and digital economy, one name resonates with enduring brilliance and legacy— Chief Leonard Nnamdi Stanely Ekeh— Forbes certified leading Africa’s tech giant — a first-rate Economist and Risk manager with deep passion and commitment for the development and growth of Nigeria nay Africa’s ICT ecosystem.

He is the Founder and Chairman, Zinox Group— which has delivered some of the biggest ICT projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, including providing the technology backbone for the 2007 and 2011 Nigerian election voters’ registration. Apart from Zinox Computers, he has also built other notable companies like: Task Systems, Technology Distributions Limited, ICT Brokers, TD Plus, ICT Connect and Buyright AFRICA Dotcom.

Leo Stan Ekeh, OFR, FNCS, was born in Ubomiri Mbaitoli, Imo State, to a middle-class family with three brothers and two sisters. His mother was a dietician, and his father was a nurse.

He attended Holy Ghost College, Owerri for his secondary education. When young, he wanted to own the biggest transport company in Nigeria.

In 2001, he was honored as an ICON of HOPE by President Olusegun Obasanjo, and was later conferred with one of Nigeria’s highest national awards – Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) in 2003. Again, he was also honored with the National Productivity Merit Award (NPOM) by the late President Muhammadu Buhari in November 2019, for his sustained leadership in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Under his leadership, the Zinox Group has grown to become one of the most integrated and innovative ICT companies in Africa.

Leo Stan Ekeh was born on February 22, 1956 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and a Post Graduate Degree in Risk Management from the Punjab University, India, and Nottingham University, England respectively.
