Prof. Martins Uchenna Nwankwo Emerges National President of Holy Ghost College Owerri Old Boys Association
A Professor of Globalization, Terrorism and Integration, and Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Imo State University, Prof. Martins Uchenna Nwankwo, has emerged as the National President of the Holy Ghost College Owerri Old Boys Association.

In the election conducted during the Association’s 2026 Reunion, Prof. Nwankwo defeated his opponent, Chief Marcel Egwunwoke, polling 275 votes against 40 votes.

The election was one of the major highlights of the 2026 reunion, which also witnessed a landmark donation by old boy and renowned entrepreneur, Leo Stan Ekeh, who donated an ICT Centre valued at ₦500 million to the college.
Other officials elected alongside the president include: 1st Vice President , Sir Charles Ukwuoma, Secretary General, Barr. Kayode Ojinnaka, Treasurer, Emmanuel Ugwunali, Financial Secretary, Dr. Anowey Tochukwu Victor, Asst. Financial Secretary, Chidiebere Akalawu, PRO, Duru Daniel, PRO 2 Emeka Emmanuel, Welfare Secretary, Odimara Christian, Provost 1, Ekwebelam Excel.
