Eze Ogwuaga Abba: Duru Oshimiri Obinna Akwiwu Celebrates One Year OF Unity And Peace OnThe Traditional Stool, Shares Vision For The Community

A YEAR OF UNITY AND STABILITY: EZE OGWUAGA ABBA REFLECTS ON MILESTONES AND VISION AHEAD

My beloved people of Ogwuaga Abba,

Today, I stand with a heart full of gratitude to Almighty God as we mark one year since that historic day, March 22, 2025, when I was entrusted with the sacred responsibility of leadership, marked by the presentation of the Staff of Office and Certificate of Recognition by His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma. That moment was not merely ceremonial; it was a divine call to serve, to lead with integrity, humility, and purpose.

From the very beginning, my vision has been clear: to build a united, peaceful, and progressive Ogwuaga Abba. I firmly believe that unity is the foundation of all development, and peace is the pathway to lasting progress. Through dialogue, reconciliation, we would continue to rekindle trust, harmony, and strengthen the bond between the throne and the people.

Within just one year, we have witnessed a renewed spirit of cooperation across segments of our community our youths, women, elders, and stakeholders working together with a shared sense of purpose. This achievement belongs not to the throne alone, but to every son and daughter of Ogwuaga Abba.

Security remains central to our progress. We have strengthened collaboration with our local security outfits and vigilante groups, embracing a proactive approach rooted in vigilance, coordination, and intelligence sharing. Today, Ogwuaga Abba stands safer, more stable, and more conducive for growth. Indeed, security is not just a priority, it is our collective responsibility.

I commend the good people of Ogwuaga Abba for the remarkable success of the Iri Ji Festival and the historic Ofala Ogwuaga Abba celebration. These were not just cultural events, but powerful symbols of unity, identity, and pride. Through your discipline, hospitality, and cooperation, you projected Ogwuaga Abba as a community of excellence and cultural distinction.

I extend sincere appreciation to our Town Unions nationwide, and to our sons and daughters in the diaspora led by our ambassadors. Your unwavering support despite the distance has been instrumental to our progress. You have demonstrated that true commitment to home knows no boundaries.

I also acknowledge with deep gratitude the support of Ọmụ Ada Ogwuaga for their counsel and dedication to preserving our values, as well as our Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Paul Ozigbu, whose loyalty, wisdom, and service have greatly strengthened the throne.

Leadership is not a one-man journey, it is a shared responsibility. In the past year, we have strengthened engagement with the Government of Imo state and relevant key stakeholders to promoting skill acquisition and development initiatives. I urge our youths to seize available opportunities and position themselves for greater representation in public service and leadership.

As we move forward, we remain committed to preserving our rich traditions while embracing progressive development. Our youths and women remain at the heart of our vision, because a community that empowers its people secures its future. The Palace also thanks specially, all sons and daughters empowering our people both publicly and privately and encourages more action across board. Together we will continue to improve the livelihoods of our people.

To my beloved people, I thank you for your unwavering support, patience, trust, and commitment to peace and unity. Your respect for the traditional institution has made this first year both peaceful and productive.

This is only the beginning. The foundation has been laid.

Together, we will achieve more.

Let us remain united.
Let us remain peaceful.
Let us remain vigilant.
Let us remain committed to progress.

Long live Ogwuaga Abba Autonomous Community.
Long live Imo State.

Thank you, and may God bless you all.

His Royal Highness,
Eze Obinna Akwiwu,
DIM OHAMADIKE II
Duru Oshimiri Ataa-Ata III
Eze Ogwuaga Abba
