IMSU Alumni Association appoints new leadership, Barr. Ozumba, Ik Ogbonna, as Bot Chairman and Secretary

NEW BOT LEADERSHIP EMERGES:
PRESIDENT CONGRATULATES TEAM
In anticipation of the expiration of the Barrister Chinwe Mbakwem-led Board of Trustees (BoT), an Online Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday, 11th July, 2026 during which the nomination of an Eleven Member Board by the National Executive Committee (NEC) was approved.
Consequently, the incoming Board of Trustees (BoT) held its inaugural meeting virtually on Sunday, 12th July, 2026 and elected Barrister Okey Ozumba as Chairman and Dr. IK Ogbonna as Secretary of the Board.
The new Board of Trustees (BoT) members are:

In a notification letter signed by the new Board Secretary, Dr. IK Ogbonna, conveying the inauguration and election of its leadership, the Board solicits the co-operation of the National Executive Council (NEC) in the interest of continued growth and progress of the Alumni.
It also hinted NEC of its assumption of full duties on Tuesday 14th July, 2026, at the expiration of the term of the outgoing Board to avoid a vacuum in the leadership of the Board.
Meanwhile, The President, Dr. Charles Nwosu on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the entire Alumni congratulates the new Board of Trustees and its leadership.
He expresses confidence in the ability of the Principal Officers and all members of the Board, noting that their nominations were carefully made.
Dr. Nwosu wishes the Board a fruitful tenure.
