Driven by the agenda to galvanize stakeholders’ support, I was warmly hosted by Aguata’s illustrious son and the Group Managing Director of VFD Group, Mr Nonso Okpala, in his Ikoyi office, Lagos, Nigeria.

Mr Nonso Okpara, a serial investor and philanthropist, with years of involvement in capital markets, greenfield expansion, ecosystem orchestration, and creative industry, is the founder of VBank, the BoardRoom, VFD Ghana, Herel Nigeria, etc. He is equally a director of the Nigerian Exchange Group.

In his home town, Uga, Aguata LGA, he founded and funds the Osnon Academy – a fully funded secondary school providing free tuition, accommodation, feeding, school wears,l and study materials for all the students.

Our discussion centred on how to deepen our interventions in education and youth development through workable partnerships.

Mr Nonso Okpala is simply a golden son of Aguata.
