MEDIA CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR MEDIA PRACTITIONERS IN IMO STATE
MEDIA CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR MEDIA PRACTITIONERS IN IMO STATE
It was a great pleasure and honour to contribute as a guest speaker at the Action 🐘 People’s Party (APP)’s Media Capacity Building Workshop for State , Ward and Local Government Publicity Secretaries; where I delivered a presentation on the theme, “Digital and Media Political Campaigns: Opportunities, Risks, and Winning Strategies for Electoral Success.” The session provided a valuable platform to examine the evolving intersection between technologies, political communications, and electoral engagements in an increasingly digital society.

During the session, I engaged participants on the growing influence of digital media in modern political communication, highlighting how social media platforms, online content, and data-driven strategies have transformed electoral campaigns. I also examined the risks associated with digital campaigns, including misinformation, cyber threats, and reputational challenges, while emphasizing the importance of ethical communication and strategic message management.

The presentation was highly interactive, with practical examples and real-life case studies used to demonstrate effective campaign techniques. I encouraged media handlers to leverage digital tools responsibly, build strong online engagement, and develop winning communication strategies capable of connecting political parties and candidates with voters in today’s digital age.
