TWO YEARS WITHOUT YOU: A TRIBUTE TO DISTINGUISHED SENATOR IFEANYI UBAH (CON)

Anambra State— Nigeria🇳🇬

There are some departures that time cannot explain.

There are losses that calendars cannot heal.

And there are men whose absence continues to echo long after the mourners have returned home.

Today, July 26, 2026, marks two years since the world stood still at the news of the passing of Distinguished Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, CON. On that heartbreaking day in 2024, Anambra State, the South-East, and indeed Nigeria lost a man whose life was defined by enterprise, philanthropy, courage, and an uncommon commitment to the people he served. He was serving as the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District when death suddenly brought his remarkable journey to an end in London at the age of 52.

Your story was one of resilience. From humble beginnings, you built a business empire that created opportunities for thousands. Through Capital Oil, your investments in sports, the establishment of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, your media ventures, and the humanitarian work of the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, you proved that true success is measured not by wealth alone but by the number of lives transformed. Long before politics brought you to the Senate in 2019, many already knew you as a man who believed in lifting others as he climbed.

Your journey in public service reflected the same determination that defined your business career. You carried the hopes of the people of Anambra South with pride, spoke with conviction, and served with passion. Even after surviving a deadly attack on your convoy in 2022, you remained steadfast in your commitment to your people, refusing to allow fear to silence your resolve.

Today, memories of your generosity still live in homes you visited, in families you supported, in young people whose dreams you encouraged, and in communities that continue to remember your acts of kindness. Your legacy was never confined to titles or political offices. It was written in human lives, and those pages can never be erased.

For many of us, your passing remains difficult to accept. We still remember your warm smile, your confidence, your fearless spirit, and your unwavering belief that impossible dreams could become reality. Two years have passed, yet it still feels as though your voice should be heard, your presence should be felt, and your familiar footsteps should still be among us.

Though death ended your earthly journey, it could not diminish the impact of the life you lived. Your legacy continues to inspire a new generation to dream bigger, work harder, give generously, and serve selflessly.

As we remember you today, we do so not only with tears but also with gratitude. gratitude for a life that was purposeful, for a legacy that endures, and for memories that will never fade.

May Almighty God continue to grant your gentle soul eternal rest.

Sleep on, Distinguished Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, CON.

You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts.
