-A deliberate attempt of character assassination

Two days ago, I came across a Facebook post made by one Mr Christopher Ezeukwu alleging that Ezeakunne had since received federal allocations to the tune of N25billion in the past four years as the mayor of Aguata.

This claim is not only false and misleading, it’s also a politically motivated character assassination plot.

The poster only successfully showcased how intellectually lazy he is to not know how local government statutory allocations in Anambra state is managed and the continuous oversight by the state house of Assembly.

Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike was appointed in 2022 as a Transition Committee Chairman of Aguata who served as a mere caretaker and as such had no business with the Aguata Federal Allocation which was received by the state government on behalf of all Local government area councils

In September 2024, Dr. Ofobuike assumed office as an elected Mayor of Aguata.

And since then, the local government statutory allocations management modality is in the public domain for anyone who researches to know.

Quoting N25billion without stating the source of the data shows how shabby the propaganda job was done. Empty and irrelevant.

If the writer is unaware of the Anambra State Local Government Administration Law, then he is not only uninformed, he is also deformed.
